Rough week at our house:(

This week has been so stressful and slow! To start the week off Gracie got a stomach bug and was sick all day Monday and Tuesday. The girls had a date night planned with their daddy on Monday. They were to go on a horse and carriage ride. But we had to cancel cause Grace just wasn't up to it. And then little Hynlee has had an extra rough week this week. Within the past couple of days she has cut three of her one year old molars and two of her front bottom teeth. She is getting a mouth full all at once. Now on top of that she is trying her best to catch a cold. She is just miserable! She can't sleep, doesn't want to play, and sometimes to ill for you to even hold her. Today I rounded the corner and she was just lying on her blanket in the middle of the living room. The only thing she does want is our TSH TSH aka our fish. She has just lately started saying this and it took me a couple of days to realize what she was meaning. But now every morning she says it and she is ready to feed it. Did I mention the name? Wally Camalee? Not sure thats even spelled somewhat right. Needless to say Callee named it. She is so creative with her names. I can't wait to see what she names her children one day. Hopefully with the stomach virus over and the teeth now thru the skin the worst is over. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! HaHa!!

Valentine's Weekend

This is a little late...just like everything else I do but like the saying better late than never. We had a wonderful snow filled Valentines weekend. All day Friday and early Saturday morning we had a couple inches of snow. Which in Georgia is like a blizzard. This was the most snow the girls had ever seen. So of course we made a last minute run to the grocery store to get milk and bread. It was a mad house. Derick made it home at a decent hour from Atlanta and we just enjoyed the view! Friday we didn't play much out side. Hynlee wasn't totally sure she liked it. But Saturday morning my phone starting ringing early. I thought ok maybe Amanda or Mom. Then again..still too tired to get up and answer it. But by the third time I thought ok maybe something is wrong. Nope..no emergency just Aunt KK and Charles wanting to come over and play in the snow with the girls! Of course the girls had fun. But you have to think this was also the most snow we have had since being married. So Derick and I were having a blast, sledding and throwing snowballs at each other. Or I was trying to hit him...he would catch mine and throw them right back flying at me! We even used my baking sheets as sleds! But sadly I didn't get any good pictures of it. My batteries died and we didn't have any more. Then on Sunday we had a wonderful time at church and the Sweet Heart Dinner and later that day Derick took me and the girls out. I had a wonderful time with all four of my loves! Hope your weekend was just as good:)

Hynlee's First Birthday

This past weekend we had Hynlee's first party. The theme was all pink and brown with Sweets! We had three cakes, cupcakes, brownies, chocolate dipped strawberries, cotton candy, suckers, chocolate pretzels, sugar cookies....the list goes on and on. It turned out really nice except for the fact that I was completely out of it the entire time. There was a mix-up at my pharmacy between my two doctors and two different medicines. I thought I was taking the antibiotics and I took two pain pills which completely knocked me out. I have never felt so crazy in my life. But the party still was a success. Little Hynlee loved playing in her cake, but had no interest at all in opening the presents. After all the deserts and gifts we ended the party by decorating cupcakes to take home and sending the balloons to Papa in Heaven.

Long over due update

Ok so what have I been doing? Last time I blogged lil Hynlee was only 9 months old. She will be 1 year next Thursday. Where has this year gone? She's growing and changing so much. She walks, waves, gives kisses, and you might be lucky and get a hug every once in a while. She's still this tiny little girl walking around but has a HUGE attitude. Not sure if I know if she is picky or just stingy?! She doesn't like anyone messing with her stuff. Her blanket, and toys are off limits to just about everyone.
Gracie is exactly the same as last time I blogged. Maybe a little taller and is missing one more tooth, but still the same girl filled with love, and giggles and ATTITUDE! She is the most thoughtful child. She totally planned Derick and me a surprise anniversary party(with a little help from the grandparents) She told everyone what to bring and was so thrilled when it was all done. She doing good in school, but still doesn't want to learn to read. She still says she has her Daddy to read to her!
Callee Bug is changing so much. She still loves her boy toys, like Spider-man and Batman, and John Deere but I'm starting to see the little girl in there somewhere. She has starting playing more with make-up and likes dressing herself for school. Let's just say Thank God we home school. But I'm liking watching her change from this tom-boy to a little princess. She even said the other day she was thinking about getting rid of her Batmobile bed! Which is huge..she loves that thing. Callee totally amazes me in school. She is doing everything Gracie is doing and then some. She is picking up reading like a pro! I'm so proud of her. It's kinda strange cause I was more worried about homeschooling her, cause we all know she can't sit still for more than 3 minutes at a time. But she had totally surprised me in how much and fast she is picking up on things!
So that's the update on the girls. We had a wonderful Christmas and great New Year. Promise it won't take so long to update next time!!

9 Months

Hynlee just turned 9 months this past week. I know I can't believe it either! She is growing and changing every day. She is still the sweetest little thing but her personality is starting show. She has started screaming and pitching a fit if she doesn't get what she wants WHEN she wants it. Can we say another little Gracie!! She trys to clap her hands but hasn't mastered that just yet but she does have waving Bye-Bye down pat now. It's the cutest thing! She is still into everything, pulling everything off the shelves during school and she loves to crawl to the tv armoire and pull all the movies out or pull the baskets off Derick's desk. You can always tell just where she's been or where she is...just follow the mess. It will lead you straight to her!(Sometimes to Grace and Callee too!) The other day she let go and was just standing there for a second or two! She is finally becoming more of a Daddy's girl. He rocks her to bed at night more than I do now. She ate her very first chocolate chip cookie today. I tried to take her picture but couldn't find my camera! So I took it with Derick's(cheap) work camera so it's not so good. Just wish you could have seen her. She had chocolate everywhere!!

Ok so I'm a little behind on this. I forgot to post Gracie's picture when she lost her first tooth. Way back on September 9th I pulled her first tooth. One night at dinner she said she thought her tooth was loose, but I thought maybe a tooth ache or something. I never thought she would lose one this early. But sure enough it was and in just a few days it was ready to pull! She's still just as beautiful with one missing! And Hynlee has got both of her top teeth this week. So needless to say she hasn't felt too good. She can't sleep and just feels yucky! Hopefully the worst is behind us for a while!!

My sweetie is 8 months old today! It's seems like the days are going by like minutes and she is growing and changing over night! She learning something new all the time. She can now say ma-ma and da-da and I promise she said bye-bye the other day! She waves bye-bye and pulls up on the side of her bed. She crawled for the first time Thursday night. And she even gets a bath in the big tub now..sometimes even with Grace and Callee just for fun! But my favorite thing of all is when she smile so big and scrunches up her nose. She looks just like Callee when she does!
