The new older looking Grace

Ok so this is the new hair cut! We got up early this morning and went and had the rest of her hair cut. She did really good. I thought that maybe she might cry or get upset when she saw the rest of it gone but she didn't. Of course she had her usual little attitude and gave the guy a hard time. She was telling him he was hurting her head and then she wouldn't let him wash it cause she didn't like the sink and then she even told him that he was breaking her neck making her hold it that way for too long. He finally gave up on combing it and handed it to me to finish! But in the end she loved it. It makes her look way too old but she was just prissing along and running her hands through it. Her daddy still isn't crazy about it! I think the main reason he doesn't like it is she doesn't look like a little girl anymore! But the pictures are thanks to Amanda. Of course Grace had to model the new look!

Gracie gave herself a hair cut!

Oh my gosh! I don't even know where to start this. Today my adorable little girl who knows better decided to give herself a hair cut. It all started when I was cooking supper and Grace started asking a lot of questions about her hair and she wanted me to take her hair bow out but I never in my life thought she would cut her hair. I was busy feeding Hynlee and then went outside to meet Derick when he pulled in and Grace came out but started playing with Callee. I guess she was trying to hide from me but after a few minutes she must have forgot and came walking up. At first I just noticed her bangs. Yes I said BANGS. This child has never had bangs oh but now she does. I when I started questioning her about it that's when I noticed that she had tried to put the rest behind her ear. I starting crying! I know it sounds crazy but she has always had this long beautiful hair and yes she is still just as beautiful and yes I wanted to get it cut but I wanted to do it on my own terms. She even flushed all of it down the toilet to try and hide it. She told Derick she just wanted shorter hair. So tomorrow we are going to try and go get it fixed. The crazy thing is Amanda and me were going shopping to get all the hair bows for school tomorrow! No need for her any now! The pictures are after she got a bath so we could see how bad it really was! When I started taking the pictures she asked if she needed to look sad in the pictures. The top picture is how short we will have to cut it to make it all even. All this just 2 weeks before school starts!

We have so much going on right now. The girls start school in just over 2 weeks. I'm sooooo not ready for this. What am I gonna do with out them? How are they going to make it all day with out me or each other right there with them? They have never really been away from me since they were born except last year we attempted First Baptist Pre-k and that didn't work cause Callee cried for me and Grace couldn't stand hearing her cry! It just scares the heck out of me for someone else to be in charge of taking care of them. No I'm not perfect but I do know what goes on when they are with me and it makes me a nervous wreck to start thinking about what the next few weeks are going to be like. Hynlee is teething and hasn't been able to sleep the last few days. I can feel the top of her first tooth just about to break all the way through and her gums are swollen where the next one is trying to come in! Derick finally got a break this weekend from all those long days and we got to spend a little family time together.

Kylie Reese

Today was so much fun! We had the joy of watching Kylie for a few hours while Amanda had to work. She has grown up so much lately! She has this attitude that is bigger than she is. It's like I always say about my own kids...it's a good thing they are so cute because they can be such a mess sometimes! She kept going in the bathroom looking at the potty so I finally asked her did she want to go potty. She set up there for a while as long as I was singing the potty song. She was dancing but then she did her cute little way of reaching for me to get her. Then the 2nd picture is of her lying down on the floor trying her best to pitch a fit because I had to take Hynlee's nite-nite back from her. But she couldn't even play cry she lied there for a total of a minute and then was up chasing Grace and Callee again. And the last one is of her playing with Hynlee. She would pull down on Hynlee's jumping thing and would send her flying. She was so fun having over today. We are just waiting for the day when she can spend the night with us! Oh and one more thing I tried my best to teach her to call me Meme but she would but there's always next time!

First Vegetable

Hynlee has been eating oatmeal for a few weeks now. We started with cereal and she hated that. But tonight for dinner I gave her squash for her first time. She LOVED it! Hopefully she will start sleeping through the night when she gets use to eat solids more.

Time to make the big girl move?

I need help with a huge decision! I know that Hynlee will be 6 months in just a few weeks but I am really struggling with moving her in her own room. I was going to do it about a month ago but decided to wait until we got back from vacation so it wouldn't mess her up moving her once she got used to her room. But now we are back and it seems like so far away from me at night. And she is still not sleeping through the night so I'm just confused all the way! I can't believe it's already time for this.....where have these past 5 months went? And I know it looks like she sleeps in the bed with us from the picture but she doesn't! This was just her and her daddy relaxing in Florida!

More Pictures

Ok well we got back late Sunday night and it's been crazy ever since. Our house is still a mess from trying to get everything unpacked and put back in it's place and if you know me I can't stand clutter. It's driving me crazy! But all in all we had a great trip. It was fun to just be able to relax with the girls, but it was really what me and Derick needed! We have been so close since we got back and hope to stay that way! We missed going to Disney World like we always go, but it was nice to just rest on vacation for once. I loved watching Derick just play with the girls like he was a little kid too! I'm at home with the girls all day and we can play any time we want, but he never gets to play with them much. Hynlee got spoiled to her Daddy singing her to sleep at night! But anyway here are some more Florida pictures. Enjoy!

Better Luck Today!

Today was a lot better than yesterday! It was supposed to rain all day today but it stopped early and we were able to go to the beach. This morning we walked down there we saw a family of dolphins. We got scared and thought it might have been sharks cause the life guards were blowing their whistles and waving their flags at first but then said everything was ok! Derick fixed my camera so I can take pictures just can't zoom with it..so my pictures of the dolphins didn't come out. But the girls loved watching them playing and jumping in the water. Of course Callee was a little upset that it wasn't sharks. She said she wanted to swim with them! But later this afternoon we took a long walk down the beach and rented a little electric car and rode up and down the beach.

Are we cursed?

Well since last night it seems like we are having just awful luck! It all started last night when we started to the beach for a long walk picking up sea shells. We started across the walkway from our door to the beach and we got ATE UP with sand fleas! I mean we couldn't keep them off us just long enough to get back to the room. I wrapped Hynlee up in a blanket to try and keep her safe but she had at least 15 bites on her before we got back. So before we go back today we have to go buy one of those new clip on off things for her stroller. The guy who works here said they go away when it storms and it's rained all day so hopefully their all gone. I was gonna try and take a picture of her poor little head with all the bites and couldn't. This brings me to the 2nd bad thing that's happened. Callee dropped my new camera in the sand and it wouldn't turn on. But I think Derick has just about got that fixed. Thing number 3 is Nanny fell out of the rocker in our room. Thank God she didn't get hurt..she was just laughing! And number four was this morning we were about to get out of the store and Hynlee needed to nurse so I was just going to feed her before we went in. I get out of the front start to grab the back door or so I thought( I wasn't looking) and I totally closed the front door on my hand. I had to open it with my other free hand. It's already swollen and bruised. I'm not going to lie I was crying! But hopefully our luck will turn around soon. The sun just came out for the first time today and if my camera works and I can bend my fingers to take pictures I will post some new ones later!

Sunny Florida Beach

So we finally made it here late Sunday night or really early Monday morning. All we have done is layout at the beach, swim in the pool, play on the girls new buggie boards and build sand castles. It's been really relaxing so far. But poor little Hynlee hasn't been feeling too good. The doctor finally called her in something today so she is resting good now. She put her feet in the ocean for the first time yesterday and surprisingly she liked it. I thought it would be to cold for her but she likes watching the waves. Callee and Gracie met some new friends on the beach and oddly enough their names are Gracie and Callee and Noah. Strange I know! But I will post new pictures through out the week.

Swimming at Nana and Papa's

5 Months

I can't believe it's time to do this post already but here we are. Hynlee girl turns 5 months today! It's true that its getting more fun every day cause she's starting to play with us, but I wish I could just keep her a baby forever!! My baby girl now loves for you to play peek-a-boo, loves giving kisses aka chewing your cheeks and chin off, and is kinda spoiled to walking. Hynlee is absolutely in love with Grace and Callee. They can get her to smile bigger than anyone else dreams of! And to get her quiet in the car all I have to do is give give her my phone with her daddy signing on the mp3 and she's good to go! Yesterday I gave her cereal for the first time and she did ok with it. She's learning just can't believe we are starting solids already!!

Rome Braves Game

Last night Derick, Hynlee and I went to the ball game with my family. Gracie and Callee had no interest in going so they stayed with their Granny(Derick's mom). We had a really fun time but oh my goodness I didn't know how close we were gonna be sitting to the field. Our seat were the first row behind the dug-out and I was a nervous wreck the entire time afraid Hynlee would get hit right in the face! Derick went and got her car seat so we could put her down behind the wall. But after the game was their fireworks. Hynlee hates loud noises. She is so scared of the hair dryer. So every time the fans would start yelling she would started crying. I was not looking forward to the fireworks so I took her out of the stadium but boy was I wrong. She loved them! She couldn't take her eyes off of them!
