9 Wonderful Years

This past weekend, Derick and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's been nine years already. I guess, time flies when your having fun! It seems like only yesterday we were teenagers in love.I know every couple thinks of their love story as the most romantic, sweetest thing ever, and ours was nothing short of amazing. At the time, no one wanted us together. And the more they tried to pull us apart, the stronger we grew together. I can't put into words what he means to me. He is my everything. My love. My rock. My best friend. My biggest supporter. My happy place.



In 2009, we took the girls to our old getaway, Stone Mountain.



In honor of our 9 wonderful years together, here is a list of my most favorite memories with Derick

1. By far, June 14, 2002! It was that day that forever changed the rest of my life!

2. Feb. 28, 2003. The day I knew we would be together forever. Nothing else in life mattered, if I couldn't have this man by my side forever.

3. Dec. 1, 2003; April 22, 2005; and Feb. 4, 2009. Watching him tear up at the birth of his new baby daughters. The joy in his eyes as he cut the cord, and was handed his precious baby girl for the first time.

4. The Sundial. When asked me to be his wife

5. The Georgian Terrance. Yes, he spoiled me good before we had kids!

6. Our car trips. We use to get in the car and end of miles from here. Never knowing exactly where we were headed. It didn't matter as long as we were together!

7. The Orange Groves in Florida. It may not seem like much to most. But it's the little things that matter the most. It's something that we enjoy.

8. He's my accomplice. When I worked, he would sneak and call in for me or just get me out of work early. We would sneak off to Stone Mtn. for the day just to get away from the drama!

9. And every night when I go to sleep in his arms. No matter how stressed I am from the day I forget it all when I lay my head on his chest.
